Our Mission
At Dear Kyra, our mission is to provide safe, discreet, and accessible reproductive healthcare for women across Malaysia. We believe that every woman deserves the right to make informed choices about her body and her future.
Our Story
Our journey began with a shared vision between two university mates, David Ong and Loh Hui Lin, during their time at IMU (formerly known as International Medical University). While practicing as community pharmacists, they both noticed a significant gap in accessible and judgment-free women's healthcare. Wanting to make a real difference, they joined forces to build the foundation of Dear Kyra as a passion project. Although Hui Lin eventually moved on to other endeavors, her early contributions were instrumental in shaping our beginnings.
Driven to translate this passion into a structured platform, David actively sought out mentorship and growth opportunities by joining multiple startup programs. The hard work paid off when Dear Kyra was chosen as a finalist in both the prominent Penang and Selangor startup accelerator programs. More recently, the startup emerged as one of the winners in the Alpha Startups INNO4HER Demo Day by 1337 Ventures, Malaysia’s first dedicated FemTech accelerator.
Today, the platform is proudly managed by a dedicated team working seamlessly behind the scenes. Our vision is clear: we are committed to breaking down barriers so that every woman can easily access the essential care she needs, exactly when she needs it, in a safe, discreet, and supportive environment.
